Christian models through the "darkness of today's fashion industry."
The group provides a safe place to talk about G-d in the company of
like-minded mannequins. Someone said that this group helps you score
gigs through the power of prayer! But what a relation it has with
modeling industry?
Faith
and fashion are two different words and rarely meet. But this year
2011, Christian models like Kelly Brown have support for Models for
Christ Group, a group for Christians in fashion.
But not everyone in
the Trillion Dollars fashion industry supports Modeling for Christ
Group's efforts. One og the upcoming fashion designer
Asher Lievine said "Just keep them separate. Religion is religion and
fashion is fashion. It's just clothes".
However,
you should check the terms before joining such groups. There were news
that models could no longer be doing ads that include alcohol, tobacco,
kissing anyone other than his girlfriend or her boyfriend and
underwear.
But there is no confirmed news about that. So it is important to
understand the terms and take appropriate decision. Many models may not
accept this because they would not want to be restricted in their job.
Everyone likes freedom to do what they want, speak what thye like and
join want they think is appropraite.
